JVK 320

Hi

For your assignment on ECE programme models (Montessori, Reggio Emilia or Waldor), I would suggest the following.

1: Quite a few books are available in the library on the topic. Do a keyword search on the libraries catalogue by entering a model at a time, e.g. montessori.

2: Do a search on ERIC (http://www.library.up.ac.za/edu/edudatabases.htm).
  • Remember to tick the full text button
  • It would be advisable to specify "Journal articles" from Journal or Document
  • Search terms to enter: montessori/reggio emilia/waldor/montessori and teacher/ reggio emilia and teacher/waldor and teacher/ montessori and classroom/ reggio emilia and classroom/ waldor and classroom/montessori and history/ reggio emilia and history/ waldor and history/ etc

3: Call if you need help!

JGD 210 Assignment (1994 election)

Regarding your assignment on the negotiations between the political parties that led to the 1994 election, the following:

1:Consult SAMedia (for South African Newspaper articles) under "Education Databasis" on our website.

  • I would suggest you use the following as keywords (use in combination): political parties, CODESA, Meyer (as in Roelf Meyer), Ramaphoza (as in Cyril Ramaphosa), election, etc.

  • I would also suggest you choose the following "Publication Date Range" : 19900101-19961231.

2:Consult ISAP (Index to SA articles) under "Education Databasis" on our website. (This is not a full text database, which means that you will have to access the articles via the source in which it was published via 'Journals' on our website. )

  • Use the following as possible keywords : political parties, election 1994

As a "lolly' from me, I provide you with the bibliographic details of the following article to be searched from Journals on our website:
